We've taken a bit of a hiatus from Voss Catron Communications to jump back into full-time service within a corporation. Julie currently works in Marketing Public Relations for Nestle Purina PetCare Company, where she applies just about everything she's learned and done for more than 15 years - marketing communications for corporate brands, agency perspective, nonprofit marketing, creativity, client service, team management and connecting brands and people in meaningful ways - particularly the bond between people and their passion for animals.

Julie Voss Catron is the company's founder and president. Julie has worked on the PR agency side and the corporate communications side for clients in a range of industries. She spent time leading all of the marketing initiatives for the St. Louis-area chapter of an international nonprofit brand as well. She understands marketing communications from a variety of perspectives, and the demands and challenges faced by the different teams involved.
Julie has a passion for proactive brand marketing and the different ways to bring it to life in memorable ways. She specializes in creative entertainment publicity and interactive event experiences. She enjoys keeping up strong relationships with talented national television producer contacts, working with budding new spokespeople, producing videos and collaborating with other companies to develop integrated plans for new opportunities.
Prior to starting her own business, Julie spent nearly a decade in marketing for Busch Entertainment Corporation specializing in corporate communications. As director of corporate communications, Julie managed the proactive national publicity efforts for the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens brands.
Julie developed and managed spokespeople and trained hundreds of team members to appear on television shows and to provide unforgettable, rare opportunities for guests to interact with animals at education outreach events nationwide. She planned and executed hundreds of television appearances, including nearly 40 with Julie Scardina for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” helping Scardina become Leno’s most frequent female guest. Julie booked dozens of appearances on "The Martha Stewart Show," and understands the importance of relationships and perspective, and has enjoyed building life-long relationships with some of the best producers in national television.
In addition to publicity, Julie has helped plan, develop, and staff a variety of events and interactive marketing experiences. Her favorite project was developing a one-of-a-kind mobile marketing tour presentation vehicle for SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, which proved to be the anchor for a highly-efficient marketing outreach program.
Prior to joining Busch Entertainment Corporation, Julie worked in Fleishman-Hillard's consumer marketing group executing media relations projects for Fortune 500 companies nationwide. Before that, she worked at The Standing Partnership, and focused on developing and executing projects for consumer products clients. Both communications agencies are headquartered in St. Louis.
Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast News and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. By focusing on these areas, Julie views communications from a variety of angles and perspectives with attention to audience sensitivities and preferences.
Every interaction is an opportunity to learn something and build a relationship -- marketing communications always has been more than just a job to Julie. She has a passion for motivating long-lasting loyalty, making a difference by being part of something larger than herself, and helping enhance people's lives with fun and memorable new experiences.
